10 Bible Verses on Rest

1. Jesus said unto them, “Come away by yourselves to a remote place and rest for a while.” Mark 6:31

2. Trust in the Lord with all your heart and do not rely on your own understanding, in all your ways acknowledge Him and He will make your path straight. Proverbs 3:5

3. Casting all your cares on him because he cares for you. 1Peter 5:6-7

4. God is not a God of disorder but a God of peace.  1Corinthians 14:33

5. Moreover, the Lord blessed the Sabbath day and declared it a holy day of rest. Exodus 20:11

6. God says be still and learn that I am God. Psalms 46:10

7. Seek the law, seek to lead a quiet life and to mind your own business and to work with your own hands. So that you may not be dependent on anyone. 1 Thessalonians 4:11-12.

8. My Grace is sufficient for you. 2 Corinthians 1 12:9

9. I am the Lord. I have called you for a righteous purpose and I will hold you by your hand. Isaiah 42:6.

10.Rest in God alone my soul for my hope comes from him. Psalm 62:5

These 10 verses are some of my favorites on resting in the Lord and His purpose for each of us. But I would have to say that my favorite verse on resting in the Lord is this:

Stand at the crossroads and look, ask for the ancient paths, ask where the good way is and walk in it and your will find rest for your souls. Jeremiah 6:16
