Valentine’s Day Gifts for Him or Her

Whether it is for your longtime sweetheart, a new romance, or even your best friend, a gift is a wonderful way to show your love and appreciation on Valentine’s Day. But how do you decide what to give your special someone? You can never go wrong with the traditional candy, flowers, jewelry, or cards of love. If you want to step outside the traditional box to please your Valentine, here are a few nontraditional ideas.
For Him:
Growing and maintaining a moustache or beard has become a true art form for some men. If you have one of these stylish men in your life you might consider moustache/beard wax. Many of these waxes come with their own set of styling tools and range in price from $10 to $30 dollars. You might also want to consider an electric trimmer. Most models are digital with settings to auto-adjust the trimmer length.
Consider making your Valentine a “Make It a Date Coupon.” I always enjoy getting to spend time with my loved ones, so this is one of my favorite gifts to receive. Your coupon can be handmade, or computer generated but should include your destination (a restaurant, bistro, etc.) idea and how you will contact them. If you are sending a coupon to your Valentine, it might read something like this:
“Hey, how about some sweets for the sweet? Will you be my Valentine? Let’s go for some ice cream and a movie. Of course, it will be my treat. I will text you this week to make it a date.”
Other coupon combo ideas could be for a game of miniature golf with a casual meal at the end of the game or an afternoon of fishing with a picnic (sandwiches and homemade valentine treats). Pick what you want to make your coupon, the combinations are endless, and they can be redeemed at any time as budget and schedules permit.
For Her:
Give the gift of sweet dreams to your Valentine with a silk pillowcase. Who does not enjoy the feel of silk next to their skin? These pillowcases can keep you cool while you sleep, they also help prevent bedhead. Silk pillowcases can range in price from $25 to $60 dollars depending on the brand.
Instead of a “Make It a Date” coupon give a “A Cupful of Love” coupon. Volunteer to bring your Valentine their favorite morning beverage every day for a week. After making your coupon place it inside a colorful mug or cup. It Could read something like this:
Hot as coffee or cold as tea when you use this mug remember me!
You can bet they will think of you every time they see the cup.
To create your own good life, remember to spend Valentine’s Day with the ones you love.
